Malarkey Consulting, Inc., was incorporated on July 1, 1997, by Ann M. Tomalavage, P.E., PMP.  Ann is a Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed in Pennsylvania and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI).  Ann practiced civil engineering for over 25 years and managed environmental projects for 15 of those 25 years.  When she became part of the team tasked with revamping project management training for her employer, Roy F. Weston, Inc., an international environmental consulting firm, she found her second purpose in life (engineering being the first).  Before leaving Weston in 1997, Ann developed a project management career path, a project-manager-in-training/mentoring program, a performance evaluation program for project managers.  She also contributed to project management and service-delivery process improvements and continued as a project management training team member.

Since leaving Weston, Ann has built Malarkey Consulting, Inc., into a recognized leader in quality project management consulting, both in the Philadelphia area and nationally.  Ann’s business model is to bring the best talent to each project, so she calls on her wide network of talent to provide services that are complementary to Malarkey’s.

Malarkey Consulting is certified as a woman-owned business enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise Council (WBEC) and by the Pennsylvania Department of General Services.
